This line is open from 9.00am - 1.00pm and 2.00pm - 5.30pm. Enquiries that can be dealt with include missing items, delayed prescriptions etc. For clinical questions that relate to your medication please call the general enquiry line.


When calling the practice you are able to select from the auto attendant menu without waiting to hear all the options if you already know which service you need.  The options are listed below for your information and assistance


Press 1 if you are calling as a result of a medical emergency and require urgent medical assistance. 

  • However, if you are experiencing chest pains or collapse please hang up and dial 999.

Press 2 for Appointments and Visit requests and then  

  • Press 1 if you wish to arrange a routine GP Appointment
  • Press 2 if you have a medical problem that you need help from our Clinical Team with today or to request a Home Visit
  • Press 3 for Nurse Appointments
  • Press 4 for Midwife Appointments 
  • Press * To hear the options again. 


Press 3 for Dispensary or Prescription Queries

Press 4 for General Enquiries or GP Secretarial Services and Test Results and then

  • Press 1 for General Enquiries
  • Press 2 for GP Secretarial Services
  • Press 3 for Test Results

Press 5 for Community Services such as Health Visitor or Dental Services and then

  • Press 1 for District Nursing
  • Press 2 for the Health Visitors or Community Nursery Nurse
  • Press 3 for the Community Dental Service
  • Press 4 for Speech and Language Therapy


Press * To hear the options again.  If you do not have a Touch Tone phone or if none of the above options meet with your requirements you can hold to speak to a member of staff


To improve access to GP appointments we hope to direct some calls to different teams within the practice to assist with your requirements: our Dispensary Team may be able to assist with your Medication Queries; our secretaries would be pleased to help with Sick Notes, provide information about ongoing referrals or assist with any General Enquiries you may have; our Results Service is also available between 2:00 and 5:30 pm daily for Routine Test results


We have also made some changes to the way we book appointments to enable us to help you as quickly and efficiently as possible.  You may be asked some questions by the receptionist.  If you would like to give any relevant information, this will help us to meet your requirements although you are not obliged to do so.  All information is treated in the strictest confidence and on a need to know basis.



NHS 111 Service: 1 1 1


The NHS 111 is free and will be replacing NHS Direct & the Medicom out of hours service.  The service will be available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to respond to pateints healthcare needs.
